Why this opportunity matters

This is a chance to help leaders build AI adoption that actually works.

Organizations are moving quickly to purchase AI tools, introduce automated processes and ask employees to work differently. But technology does not adopt itself. Employees must understand it, trust it, practice with it and see how it improves the work they are already responsible for completing.

That is where many implementations begin to stall. Leaders may believe the organization has an AI problem when the actual issue is unclear ownership, inconsistent communication, limited training, weak process documentation or fear about how roles will change.

Jade’s session will challenge leaders to stop treating AI adoption as a software installation. It is an organizational change that touches culture, leadership, workflow, learning, governance and employee confidence.

The BUILD track creates a valuable space for talent and learning leaders to examine the human decisions behind AI adoption—and leave with questions and frameworks they can apply inside their own organizations.

The lesson behind the session

AI readiness is a human operating system.

Successful implementation requires more than access to a tool. It requires an environment where employees know what is changing, why it matters, what responsible use looks like and how they will be supported while learning.

01 / Purpose

Start with the work, not the tool.

Define the business problem and the current process before deciding where AI belongs. A new tool cannot repair a process the organization does not understand.

02 / Trust

Employees need room to question AI.

Trust grows when leaders acknowledge limitations, explain safeguards and create space for employees to test, challenge and learn without feeling punished for uncertainty.

03 / Capability

Training must connect to real responsibilities.

General demonstrations may create excitement, but adoption grows when employees practice using AI within the actual workflows, decisions and outcomes they manage.

04 / Leadership

Leaders must model the new behavior.

Employees pay attention to what leaders use, reward, question and protect. Visible leadership participation turns AI from another announcement into an organizational priority.

A preview of the conversation

Questions the session will ask

Are your employees resisting AI, or are they responding logically to an unclear implementation?

Have you defined the business problem clearly enough for employees to understand why the technology is being introduced?

Are managers prepared to coach employees through experimentation, mistakes and changing expectations?

Does your organization have the processes, ownership, data and governance needed to support responsible use?

How will you know whether employees have truly adopted AI rather than simply received access to it?
